Aranda was lucky Corral was hurt… 7 points came from a mistake from the backup on the next drive. I think he’s a good coach. But, he’s not going to out-recruit Texas and A&M.

There is a certain allure to Baylor, he will be able to recruit. On top, he is a great person and a fantastic coach. He may bring a title there. One thing is for sure, Waco is a great place for a family so I see him here for a while unless he feels he cannot get to the top.

His defense was superb last night. Never out of position, aggressive at point of attack, and rarely missed tackles. Really happy for his success. He’s a class act.

In terms of his future, would not be surprised if in a few years after a successful body of work at Baylor that he is a HC in the NFL. He just has that intellect, calm demeanor, and players’ coach respect that plays well in the NFL.

Will not win one at Baylor but will probably win multiple when he takes over at Bama when Saban retires

Unfortunately they need to find a stronger conference to join. The big 12 is gonna be screwed when Texas and Oklahoma depart.

Texas leaving isn’t screwing up the strength of the conference as it relates to football. Texas is not good at football. They’ve had one double digit win season(10-4 in 2018) in the last decade. By comparison Baylor has had five double digit win seasons in the last decade.

Aranda will not win a national title. He will never meet us ceiling of potential because he will stay at Baylor and continue to win 10-11 games per year, but won’t get a national championship there. Baylor is a perfect place for him and his personality. Low key and drama free. And, they will pay him a ton.

He won one this year. Baylor still celebrates conference titles.

Sounds like a "Scoreboard" post in the first quarter.
Baylor is in a weak conference, they played an average SEC team who lost their starting QB in the first quarter of the game.
Crown the HC.

Baylor had a worse QB than the OM backup. And won 12 games.

What we learned is that Kiffin made a living off of Matt Coral, while Aranda found away to work around a weak QB.

You may be right. He will have an easier path to the playoff after Texas and OU leave.

CBK will win a few also.

He will succeed, and I could see him winning a championship at one point in his career. Maybe not at Baylor, but another big program will snag him and he will make it happen.

Let’s bet

He already won a conference championship. He may someday get Baylor to the playoffs where they’ll meet a real SEC team and probably get slapped down.

He’s not winning any championship at that little private school. But, he can help us tremendously by siphoning talent off A&M and Texas every year. He’s our best asset in Texas.
