Neither one of them makes products for big and tall men. They also do not make hats for men with larger heads.

Think they make big enough caps. However, they're usually flat-bill which i don't particularly care for.

I would. Unless we're living in the past. If they played in a real conference instead of playing all the service academies and their other "rivals", they'd never sniff the playoffs.

They've played for the NC more recently than we have. Beat us a few years ago too

First, they play a great schedule. Top 10 actually
Second, they have an agreement with a conference, but why give up NBC for worse competition?
Joining a conference full time would lead to an easier schedule for them
And the "service academies" are better than playing teams like McNeese 2-3x a year
Texas,

Nike makes better footwear.
UA makes better clothes.
LSU will stick with whoever gives them the most money.

Nike's crap is designed for hood rats.

Under Armour is for 2nd rate programs like Auburn, Maryland and UCLA.
Nike is tGOAT apparel company and that's where we belong, among our peers, the ELITES of college athletics.

Under Armour has some really gimmicky shite, I would hate for LSU to turn into Maryland.
While Nike is the premier supplier, UA has stepped up its game and certainly complies with more traditional schools' tastes.

UA has definitely made strides to make it a two horse race for apparel and footwear in college athletics, but it won't overtake Nike anytime soon. They are about 4-6 years away from being able to compete with footwear. Being a Nike school is also a big part of the recruiting of 17-18 year old kids.

not even close, Nike is terrible
You can't be this stupid. Nike takes a dump on under armor.
Do they even make shoes???

Times are changing
The NBA and NFL MVP are both under armor guys

LSU's $ contract with Nike I have heard is VERY small..like under $5M per year, does anyone know???
I may be wrong, but would love to know

Who cares what color the jerseys and helmets are. (Fashion Board?) Nike makes the better cleats. You want your players running in best shoes; stick with Nike.

Not that I have an issue with what you're saying, but to say that Nike "takes a dump on UA" without knowing that UA makes shoes, well...

Nike is 100x better than Under Armour
I disagree. It is a good brand, but Donkey Kong is better.

No, they are not. While UA hit the jackpot with their athletes this year, the overall perception hasn't changed.
Steph Curry's shoes aren't in the Top 6 in sales. Nike Vapor Carbon's are still the go to cleat for all skill players. Most if not all pro athletes who don't have shoe deals are wearing Nike.

The numbers that most people believe to be cash is false. That number is broken down because of how much the school is buying at wholesale cost. Almost 80% of a deal will go to equipment, while the other 20% is paid out in cash through various sponsorship bonuses.

Most have deals, and the NFL has a uniform
As to Curry:
quote:
In Under Armour’s most recent earnings call, company CEO Kevin Plank said that the footwear division represented 17% of its business, with $700 million in revenues and a growth of 95% over the fourth quarter of last year. The reason, he simply stated, was Curry’s popularity.

And even if he doesn't overtake Lebron, that doesn't mean that times aren't changing. The fact that a new brand in Curry is even being compared to an established one like Lebron's should be telling

“UA’s US basketball shoe sales have increased over 350% YTD,” the note said.

I would. Unless we're living in the past.
They played in the BCS NCG in 2012, more recently than we have.
They beat us two years ago and lead the all-time series with us, including 3-2 against us in the last 20 years.
They had a better season than we did last year, losing to Clemson by two points on the road, which we wouldn't have. They were 10-1 before closing the regular season with a heartbreaking last-second 38-36 loss to Stanford (again on the road) and lost to Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl.
In the last five years, they have finished ahead of us in the final polls twice and behind us twice. Neither finished ranked in 2014, but that was the year they beat us in the bowl game, and they received more votes than we did in both final polls. They have made two BCS/NY6 bowl appearances in the last five years, both more recent than our one.
The only stat we have on them over the last five years is overall record, 50-15 to 47-18, bolstered considerably by our 13-1 season five years ago. Over the last four years, their record is 39-13 to our 37-14. Cutting out both teams' NCG appearances in 2011 and 2012, over the last three years, it's 27-11 for us and 27-12 for them.
quote:

They play USC and Stanford every year, and now play 5 ACC teams every year, including ACC champ and CFP runner-up Clemson last year and ACC champ and CFP semi-finalist FSU in 2014. They also beat Oklahoma, Michigan State and USC on the road, and Stanford and Michigan at home on their way to the BCS NCG appearance in 2012. As for the service academies, the only one they played last year was Navy, which finished the season one spot behind LSU in the Coaches' Poll and CFP rankings, two spots in the AP.
If they're a 2nd rate program currently, so are we. Going back historically, the comparison is not close.
