The problem is, ESPN thinks LSU is in New Orleans, and if you listen to Deke and the Cajun Drunkard yesterday, there were numerous jackarses calling in blaming Miles.

By the way...Miles didn't do anything one way or the other, except "comply". Listen to him in the presser, and he even says that exact word..."I complied".

Let's face it, LSU and all other programs are running a behavioral clinic AND a football team. Having rules and sticking to them is the only way to survive and have any semblance of order. Congratulations LSU and Coach Les Miles !!!!!

Hate to say it but that's absolute truth. When the hoodrats begin to respect that there is no wiggle room, they won't wiggle. Plain as that. Les needs to not be so trusting though. Smash them early.

Les did the right thing.

After all the work trying to help this 20 year old man put team first...he continued to be a selfish dumb arse on every level, with so much at state. Remember Les with him after games last year...Les bent over backwards for him, went to NY with him, etc....

Stay off the synthetic weed...but he won't!

I appreciate this thread for giving the idiots that think Les is dumb or an idiot or whatever a place to go. It keeps them from littering the board with their mindless dribble and all in one thread. Kudos OP.

I've posted this on a couple of threads and I'll post it here. I support what Les had to do. He HAS TO follow the rules of LSU. Well let me say this, LSU SERIOUSLY needs to review their rule book and line it up on par with what Bama does. Bama players smoke weed, that's a fact, yet they don't get busted on drug test. Hmmmmm. Maybe that's because THEY DON'T TEST THEM. Why are we trying to hold our players up to some BYU, Notre Dame standard here? I want to WIN FOOTBALL games. Period. IDGAF if the players are high or not. LSU needs to set the standards on par with the SEC.

ETA: Here is Bama's drug policy. It's done randomly. I know Saban is hand picking that shite.

He did what he had to and tried to get the young man to go down the right path.

I'd be mad at Les if TM was dismissed just for MJ use AND if Les had a choice. I don't know if either of those are true so I'm not mad at Les.

They're obviously pro Sandusky and much rather have Les turn his back to save the Football Program. Appears they look at LSU as just a football program and not a University with a football team. Les protected the team and the University.

I think one segment of the fan base might be mad. You know the ones. It's ok to break rules and lie if you get caught.

The only reason I'm pissed at Miles is for the championship game. Not TM.

I don't give a shite if the rule he continually broke was chewing bubble gum. If it is a rule to be on the team that you can't chew bubble gum and your nfl millions are at stake, freaking don't chew the gum. And if you do it is YOUR FAULT even though it is a dumb rule to no be able to chew gum. Pretty simple follow the rules or suffer the consequences. Extremely simple!

And this doesn't mean I think they should over look doing drugs because I don't think they should overlook it. And all of the adults on here that repeatedly say "everybody does it", "lots of people do it" and other similar things shouldn't be putting out that opinion. Without a doubt the people he was smoking the dope with were telling him the same thing. Wrong is wrong!

Most of the idiots I know think it's Les' fault and this wouldn't have happened on Sabans team.

I hate most of our fans.

If you want to be mad at anyone, be mad at Matthieu. It was like the gun shot wound...self inflicted. He knew the consequences...he choose to ignore them and in the process hurt his team and hurt his professional career.

I've had to kick kids out of my karate school or repeat violations of rules. It's not easy, but i can't lax any rule on one person yet enforce to all others.

Tyrann needs to get ahold of his life's direction.

I'm mad at Les for stockpiling so much talent over the years that this team is just as viable a championship contender without TM7.

I thought we were going to be in a bind when it was pretty common knowledge that PP was playing his final season at LSU and a soon to be Thorpe winner stepped in. None of us like what happened to the Badger. I suspect he was given all sorts of opportunities. IMO- he didn't care as much about his team and coaches as they seem to care for him, or he would have done the right things. Its like Cecil Collins all over again for different reasons with the same outcome. Both had the football world in the palm of their hands. I've been negative nellie in the past, however I do believe that someone will step up. I wish the Badger the best and thank him for the enjoyment he provided with his special talent.

Lets not get carried away.

There was a reason TM was an AA last year and expected to be an AA this season as well.

When your team loses an AA/HT finalist for whatever the reason, it's a blow to the team.

Might there be another player/players who will step in and do much the same for us as TM did...sure, but lets no pretend it's gonna be easy to fill TM's shoes or that his big play ability will not be missed this season.

This is patently false but it gives you a platform to 'hate our fans' and fits in neatly with your mindset that you are somehow 'above' other fans because you are so pro LSU.

Maybe, maybe a small minority of people think Les or LSU did not do the right thing, but be assured they are in the minority. Les did the right thing (as he almost ALWAYS does in personnel matters). Anyone saying otherwise is just ranting and should be ignored. Get off your high horse.

So you condone breaking school rules and the law?
Why just MJ? Why not drunken driving? How about burglary?
