I used my phone a few times during the UW game... And I have AT&T

Major safety hazard when people rely on cell service in emergencies, or to connect with their children and their ride home. Is there technology available to add temporary additional service to the network? If so, maybe ATT could be bugged enough to be encouraged to do so.

ATT sucks in any crowded situation. LSU games, Saints games, Mardi Gras, any festival. Verizon has much better service.

a couple of years ago, they would drag in a mobile cell tower and set it up around the old alex box...seemed to help quite a bit...
haven't seen it in a couple of years, though...

I thought maybe you were a kid...then checked out your profile and you aren't. Surely you still remember what it was like back in the day before cell phones? Somehow, we all survived...and connected with our kids for the rides home.
But I digress...I have ATT and couldn't communicate with anyone...phone or text...through most of the game. Then in the 3rd quarter, 4 texts poured in all at once. ATT does suck.

Cause Verizon is official wireless for the LSU Tigers

I was experiencing the same problem when I noticed the guy next to me sending and receiving text messages from his iPhone. If you have the iPhone 4 you can go to settings and turn 3G off. This will allow you to text on EDGE. It worked for my son but unfortunately it did not work on my 4S. (Hope this helps).

AT&T actually has a cellsite in the statium. If you were to go sit in the stadium alone you would be able surf w/4G w/ no issues. However, once you pack in 92K, you are lucky to even make a phone call.
The best analogy would be the Interstate. The normal speed limit is 70mph. As traffic picks up, your speed is limited. If there is a bad wreck, traffic crawls. These wireless companies have to open up their bandwith pipeline in areas like Tiger Stadium to allow more traffic to flow on a very congested network.
P.S: Verizon is the best!

They call this a "COW" (Cell On Wheels)
They definetly help open up the network to allow more traffic. If you have not seen the COW deployed it may be b/c they feel comfortable with their permenant infrastucture in and around the stadium. I'll reach out to my peers at AT&T down in B.R and see what they say.

Those MF's are too busy spending the money we keep sending them opening more retail stores to worry about something as trivial as infrastructure. More retail stores to load more devices onto said sorry arse infrastructure. I converted my work phone to Verizon just to be able to actually reach my kids on gameday. And it works like a champ.

Turn off your phone and enjoy the game with the people you're with. I realize you'll need service in an emergency, but other than that, turn off your phone. It's one of my big pet peeves, people obsessing about texting and posting pictures to Facebook and other nonsense. Just live in the moment and enjoy who you're with. There'll be plenty of time after the game when you're alone and you can text all you want.

I have ATT and have had better service this year than in the past. Droid/4G phone, Northeast corner of TS. I can use it in the bowl area and on the concourse.

Because Verizon is the official wireless provider of LSU Athletics.

I have had NO problems using all functions of my ATT Galaxy S3 for the first two games. Must be the LTE.

Rumors have it that Verizon "blocks" ATT at TS...I find this hard to believe.

I went to the season opener against N TX, actually had great service in the stadium, even got LTE on ATTs network.

When I had sprint a couple years ago I could get decent service in the stadium, at least better than Att
That's because you were the only one using Sprint.
