It's not known yet but Big 10 and Pac 12 schools have been mentioned as landing spots for him.

Eligible immediately? or does he have to sit out a year?

He would have to sit out a year unless he goes to a lower division.

watch him sit out a year and then go play pro ball honestly, it'd be more worth his while to transfer to JUCO

Heard rumblings of Michigan. Not sure why there, but he's got health issues to get over before baseball comes into focus.

as injury prone as he is, a year off may be best for him anyway

well if the rumors are true of him not liking LSU sitting him out when he apparently felt healthy enough to play, why transfer to another D1 school and sit out another year

Anything other than JUCO would be a unwise situation.

Jake just needs to find school he can try and showcase his arm for a year and sign with whoever picks him, college just wasn't his thing.

Then he hates PM even more than we realized?

I disagree. Quincy would be a great landing spot for him, much closer to home with immediate eligibility and better competition than any JUCOs near him.

Now, if he were going to Chipola or San Jac, maybe the competition wouldn't be better. But Illinois JUCOs are a pretty far cry from those school, even if they do produce a top prospect here and there.

I was agreeing with you about him just sitting out this year and going straight to pro ball

Isn't he a redshirt freshman? He's probably got too many credits to transfer down to juco without screwing up his eligibility going into his junior year.

I think when he says JuCO he means to a school where he'd be draft eligible after next year. JuCO or D2 or 3. I'd be shocked if he ended up at another D1 school

Who cares? You're either a Tiger or you aren't. I don't like all of PMs decisions, but we were a game away from going to Omaha.
It's not an injury, imo. If so, he could sit out here until he's ready.
Life isn't about running away, it's about perseverance.

So IF he's leaving, I hope he goes in conference, in division...so he could watch up close and see what he's missing next year!
