This kind of reminded me of Damien James --circa 2002?

Though I believe James was a much sought after recruit and booted from the team after missing too many consecutive practices?

Until someone actually posts what Hurst's issue is/was, people will always consider him a quitter, someone who let his teammates down for selfish reasons.

Damien James was more or less kicked off the team. Not the same scenario at all.

Some of you guys really suck at reading between the lines. And how people can be completely OBLIVIOUS OF THE FACTS and still condemn Alex amuses me.

He's saying personal issues that he can't post.

Gets us no where as we all already knew that.

Just because someone plays on "our" football team does not entitle our fans to know every detail of that players personal life.

There are boundaries and limits. We need to accept this as one of those situations and drop it.

Pretty shitty to judge the guy when you don't have a clue as to what happened. Perhaps he had issues in his personal life that were more important than playing a football game.

I don't know what happened, but all that needed to be done was a simple press release saying exactly what you just said...and offering support for his teammates and coaches going forward.

None of that happened, so the continued questions and negative assumptions are reasonable.

Nobody really needs specifics. What people want to know is did he quit on the team...was there a problem between himself and the team/coaches, etc.

a simple google search leads to plenty of leads of CLM saying just that on Hurst's behalf.

"personal" -- THEE END.

The info would have to come from Hurst...and it would have to have come from him immediately following his departure.

Miles making a very general statement does nothing to prevent the questions obviously.

Once I hear things like "family" and "personal" ... I try to be a decent human being and not ask questions.
