Defensively I think we had it but on offense we didn’t have a playmaker home run hitter like in the past ie Chark Guide LF7. We were getting 5-10 yard plays but not that 30-40 yard big play this year

I agree. No speedsters on offense. Going 9-3 without offensive speed is pretty impressive. Hopefully we have a couple coming in.

Did not have the home run hitters of the past decade like PP, Matthieu, Hill, OBJ, Fournette, Guice.

If the O line is not dominant it makes a big difference having explosive playmakers or not. That is the main reason we averaged 5.2 yards per play instead of 5.9 like last year.

There is speed on this team. It just wasn’t utilized correctly.

Now I can agree we didn’t have a home run threat at HB this year.

Justin Jefferson is not fast either
Anderson and Sullivan are big...not fast.
Dillon is quick...but not a burner.
Chase and Marshall are athletic but not run away from you fast I don’t think.

Until this year we have always had a burner...this year we don’t. Most teams can play press and feel comfortable. In past you had to give Chark a cushion. Opens things up and changes offense.

In addition we have no rbs that have breakaway speed. Brossette had a number of runs that would have been tds in past years.

I completely disagree. Our team speed has been and will likely stay elite as it has been for the past decade. Our offensive woes start and stop on the line of scrimmage. When JB had time, he threw dots.

I think Dillon is a burner, but just not that good a WR.
