Delpit is a beast, you shouldn't be surprised.

But I hope he's at SS and Stevens is at FS together one day...

Throughout the spring they both have been mentioned but Delpit has been singled out for his performances.

Also anyone who follows recruiting shouldn't be surprised at all, it was expected by some.

Has more to do with he's been practicing behind paris. Battle got during spring. Not gonna switch his position just to get him some fake reps.

Delpit is a boy among men out there but looked like a man among boys. SEC Freshman of the year potential.

John batttle is our starting safety, but I still see Delpit getting a ton of playing time

Delpit was laying some hits during spring. During the game he was comfortable defending in space and also laying hits around the line of scrimmage. Popped Guice and Chark I believe

Didn't surprise me one bit. Delpit wasn't splitting time playing QB and WR in high school like Stevens was

No. Don't pay attention to star ratings and pay attention to film. Especially all star game film. Simple as that dude

I wasn't able to watch the spring game. I wasn't arguing Delpit actually beating Stevens out. Its not everyday freshmen ball out over veterans and I just hoped Stevens would be one of them.

Pull up the spring game on YouTube. Delpit stands out. Great instincts. Physical. Good range in coverage. Strong open field tackler. Diagnoses quickly. Fast to the ball. Always seemed to be in position to make a play.

Yes but Deloitte seemed totally legit. We're stacked in secondary

I'm not surprised at all. Ever since I first watched his high school film I knew he was gonna be a goon. His range and the way he reacts to the ball in the air is ELITE for someone coming out of high school. And he happens to be 6'4" that can lay the lumber. He will be a first round draft pick. If Jacoby Stevens can take that next step then we might be looking at our best safety duo in a looooong time. Stevens has it all athletically, just gotta get that reactive quickness down. Gonna be fun watching them.

I haven't watched his film. I'll have to go look it up. I honestly thought Monroe would push for the safety spot. I guess his knee is still recovering from surgery last year.

Maybe not: looks like it was just a scope.

If Delpit and Stevens play, I just hope the coaching staff realizes we still have Eric Monroe. He is a beast.

The depth we have at safety is kinda ridiculous. A lot of mouths to feed back there.
