Anyone else see OM faking the hidden ball trick?

Believe it was the 10th or 11th with Zardon on 3rd. They huddled up at the mound and shuffled and moved around to try some deception and catch Zardon asleep. Pitcher ended up keeping the ball, but I thought it was fairly obvious what they were trying to do.

Why would they fake the hidden ball trick? That makes no sense.

Faking as in went to do it and saw that Zardon was holding to the bag and called it off.
