Players do it. Past players do it.
I’m ok with it.

yep, L means something different to most of the country.

Yes. As a kid who grew up in the 90’s/early 2000’s, it reminds of the snotty girls who held up the “L” hand signal while calling someone a loser.

For me it’s just does literally everything in life need to be branded? It seems too forced and awkward for the sake of branding Lsu

Never embraced it
L stands for Loser in my world

The only thing that bothers me about it is when players throw it up in the wrong direction and show a J.

It’s as much of a tradition as Tom Petty day.

The first person I saw throw up the L was Joey B. So I love it.

If the “L” being considered a good thing now blows your mind, don’t go reading the urban dictionary listings.

I don’t like it either. It’s as if we were jealous of Texas having a hand gesture representing their school so we had to make up one. A bunch of other schools did the same thing and we are just another one of them. It indicates “follower” not “leader”.

I wasn't thrilled with it when it first started, but now that it's more universally accepted and associated with LSU rather than "loser" I'm fine with it.

The L goes back to the oline in the Miles days early 2000s. Thrown an L means LSU.
The L on your forehead means loser.
Know the difference

Let me guess…
“Back in my day we didn’t have L’s and we liked it that way!”
