So this morning I've read and heard art briles name mentioned. i really hope this is not true. Much rather a clean program ran if it means sacrificing a few wins. But this kind of shocked me.

He will be on as a consultant. This is bullshite, they should fire the pres, ad, and whoever thought this is a good idea.

Agree it would be embarrassing. I don't think he ever deserves a job. But yeah shocked to even hear his name.

Personally as a HC it would be a train wreck PR hire, but to hire him to revamp and structure our offense I would be fine with.

Briles was just the scape goat, sure he knew and was in the wrong, but he wasn't the lowest person with that information.

He won't win at LSU. He won't be able to skate by only playing 2-3 decent teams a year in the SEC West and great teams will expose him.

So was he a scape goat or did he know? Those are mutually exclusive.

Read the Pepper Hamilton report. At bare minimum Briles turned a blind eye to multiple players raping students. More likely he had a hand in squashing the investigations. What that program did is absolutely sickening and they were thisclose to some serious NCAA sanctions. Not to mention the hit to recruiting - not only athletes but talented students.

Briles is a God damn cancer. Hiring him would certainly be the opposite of Miles, not in X's and O's but for his moral compass.

That piece of trash can't be hired at LSU. You can't go from a class act to that POS.

You people are fricking idiots. Imagine what he could do here with an actual defense. His Offense is Sabans achilles heal.

Even the president of Baylor still thinks be should be head coach of Baylor.

If Herman says no, give me Briles

He is the worst choice. You saw how bad the ripped him on Gameday after his interview. If he is so frowned upon nationally, I don't care what he does as a coach. He is not worth being under the microscope for a major violation. Right now whoever we get I hope it means keeping Aranda. Despite the losses he has held team to low scores. And he has only had a short time with this defense.

yep, even if he didn't, the minute he found out about it he should have taken appropriate action, as much as I hate to say it, he and Paterno have the same legacy now, which is not to say that an overzealous booster group won't hire him before the end of the year

At least as an OC or offensive consultant until he renews his core values. Everyone makes mistakes but idk if he should be HC.

I don't believe for a second that Briles is as guilty as this report made him out to be. Briles was the fall guy.

He will back on his feet eventually. I'd rather him be on our sidelines, as either HC or OC than on the opposing sidelines somewhere in the SEC West.
