Exactly. A freshman on the biggest stage of them all with 30,000 people going nuts. I just see all sorts of control issues coming (hopefully).

His longest two outings of the year were early April. 3.3 and 3.1 innings. Since then, his longest outing was 2.2 innings. Looks to have been a month since he logged more than one inning.

I didn't see that game, but the point being he is not an everyday starter who goes deep into a game.

Yeah I saw 5 IP with 7 K's.....BUT that was at home. Not at TD Ameritrade. In the CWS Finals. Also, I think we are just a little bit better than Wake Forrest

Dyson had good stuff, but doesn't last long. I think his last outing he made it to the 5th or 6th before TCU got to him. LSU will have to keep the bats hot and Poche will have to be a warrior.

You're thinking of Kowar. Dyson never pitched against TCU. He pitched 1 inning against Louisville so far in the CWS.

Umm, no. He faced 4 LSU batters and walked one before striking out the next three to get the save in their 1-0 win in March. He's no Reynolds. Yeah, and the next game against LSU he gave up 3 hits (2 doubles), 2 hbp and 2 runs in one inning.

And that folks is how you mud check a band-wagoner

Our batters at the plate did great vs #1 pick next year. That 4th inning killed us; leading off w/ 2 singles then followed w/ 3 straight strike outs! We will respond better Tuesday & Wednesday!!

33.1 innings I'm 27 appearances with one start. Has only surrendered 27 hits and 8 walks with 45 Ks.

ERA is 3.55, possibly due in part to a handful of hit batters and WPs.

He clearly has the ability to shut a team down. Hopefully he won't extend and throw 7 innings of shutout ball like Gilbert did.

Dyson has a 5.40 ERA in SEC play. Has only thrown 6 innings in SEC play. Has only walked 1 and struck out 12 though. But is giving up a .320 batting average. Which, may be kind of cherry picking, but is the worst ba any Florida pitcher has allowed that has pitched 6+ innings.

So, with that sample size, you're stating that his outing will be far better than that of Reynolds?
No, I have no idea how his outing will be, but up to yesterday, Reynolds had done nothing in SEC play. This guy struck out the side with a 1-0 lead for a save against us. That's all.

Yep, band-Waggoner since 1973. Did you know we even played baseball back then?

This......

I just refuse to believe that Poche will be anything short of dominant tonight. He has been clutch his entire career for LSU and I dont think he will allow himself to be the reason we dont win the NC!!!!

LSU has been swinging the bats great in Omaha, save for the 13-1 anomaly against OSU' Ace. If they continue to get clutch at bats from Freeman, Duplantis, Watson and Papeirski (plus others) and avoid some of the bone headed plays some of our infielders seem to have at times (not mentioning any names blondie) we definitely get to a game 3 and win the whole damn thing!!!
