Any updates on Mike's health?

Thinking about the big guy today, I know he's got that chemo spot on his face which I think makes him look 100% tougher. Anyone know how treatment is going and what his status is?
Also with him being sick are they going to bring him to his inside cage for game days or will he be able to stay in his habitat and deal with all the noise/people around? Obviously he won't be attending games

Original assessment was that chemo treatment would just buy him an extra 1-2 yrs. I don't think anything additional has come out since the original diagnosis.
I would think he will stay in his habitat going forward.

Actually, his hair in the treatment spot is starting to grow back nicely.
He frolics around, lays on his back to relax, and greets his familiar visitors by jumping up on the glass--all signs that he is feeling great.
The prognosis is still for one to two more years of quality life, but right now at least, it's easy to believe that he has whipped cancer and will be with us at least 5-6 more years.
I will do everything I can to fight for the live tiger mascot tradition to continue at LSU. But if some of the yahoos who post here want to ignore the way things really are and make absolutely sure Mike VI is the last tiger in that habitat--by all means continue bitching and moaning about him not loading up in that tiny trailer and going to games.
That tradition is over. Just be thankful you have a live tiger on campus.
