I think most LSU fans don't want the "Air Raid" offense, but want a balanced attack while using a 3 WR set vs a 2 TE set where the defense loads the box with 8 or more...

I agree with you. Thank God LSU's brand of football has kept LSU from getting blown out.

I don't think we need to abandon a power run game especially with Fournette coming on strong.

I don't either. but fournette can run out of the spread too. he did it for 4 year at st aug.

petrino in 2011 ran an offense than I wish LSU had. power running, spread formations...

Yeah I sure wish we could switch to the "mississippi state brand" of football that leads to 19 losses in 20 years.

they are ranked #1 in the country. mullen has that team rolling right now.

The problem is most posters on here, especially older more "traditional" ones, don't understand the difference between the systems. MSU and Aub are more than happy to run the ball more than throw it, they just do it out of a vastly different system than LSU or Alabama does it. But a lot of folks just see that as "that spread crap" and think it's the same thing as what Texas Tech or Baylor is doing

agreed. a lot of people think if you're in a shotgun formation, that it's the "spread"

Do you think they have just hit the right stride with experienced players or do you think this is short lived and they will be back to 6,7,8 wins next year?

I'm honestly not sure.

what about the auburn brand of football that beat LSU 41-7?

or the miss state brand of football that beat LSU in tiger stadium at night?

Completely different offenses.

no clue, but MSU is developing their players very well. 3 top ten wins in 6 games so far.

I don't want a 5 wide chunk on every play offense. that's not what i'm calling for btw. i just want to see an offense where it gets the safeties out of the box. because right now, teams are stacking the box and showing zero respect to the passing game.

teams know LSU doesn't run misdirection or throw over the middle of the field.

I know people are critical of the "toss dive", correct me if I'm wrong but it looked like LSU added a little more than just a toss and a run up the middle. Looked like they were running a toss sweep a few times on Saturday that gave the RB a chance to make a bigger play. I liked seeing it.

I agree with this unless he actually puts a competitive D on the field one day.

I like what Dallas is doing now

Tough O line and D

Great running game mixed with passing game.

It's a winning formula

Dallas has invested in that O-line. They will be stacked for years.

Probably not. But they won't be here to claim it, either. Not until A&M has another 500 yards passing game (and escapes with a 1 point victory). They're shameless. And idiots.

Basically, more crickets.
