Any juniors expected to be drafted early enough to leave?

Kramer? Freeman? Fraley? Poche?

I think Fraley and Poche are gone. I think Freeman stays.

Kramer is the one who I can't figure out yet. After the season he's had, I could go either way. I think he returns though.

Don't forget Newman. Freeman will be back. Poche and Fraley are gone. Kramer too. Deichmann will be interesting. Reynolds is another possibility. Riley Smith isn't a lock to stay either.

You think Kramer is gone?

I do. Discussing it now in another thread and of course people think I'm crazy. But you have to look at it from his perspective. He wants to play at the next level. He's proven he can hit (fewest Ks on team; most doubles; highest SEC average; high RISP average). He's always had an above average defense. He'll have leverage as a junior. Nothing he can really do next year to improve his stock and he'll only make less money with no leverage although he would likely be drafted higher.

I think he will stay honestly. I really don't think it will be about money, considering who his mom is. I'd say right now, he would probably be picked in the top 15 rounds. Just my opinion. He could improve his stock by coming back.

I totally agree on the leverage aspect. That's why I think he does leave. I just wish he'd stay, selfishly. I do think Dawson will be solid once he gains experience.

How?

D1 had him as a preseason top 300 prospect. I'd assume that has skyrocketed. He will go top 10 rounds.

Bugg will be drafted before Reynolds (if either is drafted) and Robertson isn't going pro this year. He's a above average defender at second base with below average hitting and well below average power. If anyone tries to argue that a pro team will see him as a average/ above average hitter then they are an idiot.

The big question is how much he thinks he can improve his draft position and potentially how much he can hurt it. It was just a year ago he couldn't hit for shite.

I know this is not what most people think, but I honestly think Poche will be back. I think we will lose at least one from our bullpen. Maybe two. (Newman and Bugg). I also think we will get hit with a couple transfers (maybe Dawson). Other than that, I think Fraley is gone.

How many players in the SEC are hitting 0.360 or better in conference? I'll give you a hint. The number is less than 10.

Kramer has had a very nice season, especially considering his 2 face injuries and his bad first 2 seasons. He may should take advantage of his nice season, but he seems like a guy who may want to come back and be a senior leader. But let's be honest, his ceiling is pretty low. I would be absolutely shocked if he ever has a big league AB.

The commentators made a good point today about him. Do you want to get a early start on a your minor league career by signing as a low draft pick, or play SS for LSU on an absolutely loaded team. We could have the best lineup in the country even after losing fraley. Add that with our rotation who is bringing back Lange, Latz, Gilbert and potentially adding some stud freshman we will easily be the World Series favorites starting out. Krob is smart enough to see that and it's not like he has to start making money now or his family will starve.

I don't think Dawson transfers.

On a 20-80 scale he will probably grade out as a 40-45 hitter. The top 2 projected college hitters in this years draft grade out as a 55 which is average. Krob is not that kind of a hitter.

I wonder why Broussard and Moore left after 2014 then...

Players are graded on a 20-80 scale for future tools - 20-30 is well below average, 40 is below average, 50 is average, 60 is above average and 70-80 is well above average.

From MLB.com. 40-45 bellow average 50-55 average

Broussard had that nasty injury. His mind set was most likely geared towards starting his career sooner rather than later to make sure he doesn't reinjure it instead. Moore left because of CPM. You know that. Everyone knows that.
