this is our biggest weakness. will we have tackles? can Austin Deculus step in and be a 4 year starter at LT? who will man the tackle spots? I think we're covered for guard and center, but i'd like to here from a guru on our situation.

Good at rushing, average in pass protection against 75% of the competition, and terrible in pass protection against Florida, Auburn, and Alabama.

Starting 5:
Malone(LT)
Clapp/Tehuma(LG)
Dodd/Clapp(C)
Tehuma/Brumfield (RG)
Weathersby(RT)
Pretty good blend of experience and athleticism but definitely need to get bigger, stronger and better.
Depth and potential breakthrough candidates:
D. Campbell
Willie Allen
A. Deculus
The stars will align.

Only big concern is tackles. We're solid in the middle. Tackle improvement is job #1!

I'm confident a healthy Weathersby will be a solid RT. More concerned about LT

we will be good enough on defense to win against anyone, if our oline can provide blocking so they offensive skill players will have time.

I think we will see
LT Malone: he got better and better as the season progressed
LG Teuhema: I think he moves back to G from RT
C Clapp: most experienced OLineman we have. Not sold on Dodd yet
RG Campbell: built a lot like Boutte. Road grader
RT Weathersby: returning starter. Should be more improved this year
Anxious to see if Brumfield can crack the starting lineup. He's quick and has good feet, but is a tad undersized for guard. Deculus will push Malone I think for playing time. Ed Ingram looks like he's ready to contribute if called upon. I think our biggest problem the past couple years has been we've had guys out of position on the O line. We had our 5 best linemen on the field, but we had guards playing tackle and tackles playing center. I hope the coaches can get them in the right position this year.
