Is it easy to park in designated stadium lots or is it a cluster?

Price for stadium parking?

Thanks in advance.

I'm going to go ahead and assume parking won't be a problem.

Usually ~$20. Lots right across from stadium are designated for special events.

Get downtown early, park at a church, ride the metro rail.

Parking on the streets is free after 6pm so for the Friday game all you have to pay is up till 6pm. When I go to Astros games I park on the street for about .65 cents. Also don't get roped in to paying the $20 for the lots across the street from MMP or parking in the Astros lots for just as much. You can get $5 parking if you are willing to walk a few blocks.

Thanks...I'm going straight from BR to Minute Maid. Gonna try to hit Houston around 3:00 before Friday afternoon work traffic gets too brutal.

Guess I'll catch A&M and Tech ahead of Tigers.

I come in from the north on hardy street and park within a block or two from the stadium for about 10 bucks for Astros games. I go out the same way; it's very easy. I guess it really depends on where you are coming from and going tho

My advice...park by the football stadium and take the rail in.

That is completely unnecessary and a huge waste of time unless he's staying by the football stadium

That's a pretty long ride when he can likely find street parking downtown or pay for parking and save a half hour

Coming in on I -10 from BR. Staying 5 miles NW of stadium...still inside the loop.

Sounds like street parking is possible.

Thanks for the ideas.

I doubt they are even aware that the BBQ cookoff and all that goes with it begin Thursday. That metro parking lot will be packed Friday.

Probably best to find parking before the Aggies-Red Raiders finish. After that game the streets of downtown Houston will be a gridlock of tractors, horses, mules and God only knows what other means of farm transportation heading out of the city.

Plus the BBQ Cookoff is this weekend & fair opens, so traffic around NRG will be crappy too...will have to pay to park & ride the rail...plus rail is a good walk from MMP...

TCU is #1 in the country!! They're going to be bringing bigger crowds than they've ever seen. Literally dozens of fans will be competing for parking spots.
