Antoine went 6 for 12 this weekend, with 5 hits on Sunday including the walk-off game winner in the 10th.
Naturally, the base hit and RBI in the bottom of the 10th gave us the win. Just as important, in my mind, was the play he started in the top of the inning.
The double didn't bounce off the wall like it normally does, but instead lodged under the sign/cushion on the fence. Many outfielders struggle with getting a ball dislodged from the fence, but Dup made quick work of it.
What could have been a big inning for SC was snuffed out by the Dup-KRob-Pap relay play. Huge!
He's not a big personality, but he is steady & consistent. Glad he's a Tiger!

It was a great and important play. However, it was not a double play.

Correct. The play on the double.

So many good fundamentals on that play.
- Picks up the ball with his bare hand.
- Good throw, chest high to Krob.
- Krob's catch was setup to throw home, good angle.
- Good throw to Pap.
- Pap makes the catch and applies the tag, not with the glove but takes the ball out of his glove and applies the tag with his bare hand holding the ball, which was faster and necessary due to his momentum.
Incredible play really.
