Stupid, he had a bright future in basket ball and a free education as well.
Consider me jaded but I am done feeling sorry for these kids. My sorrow goes out to the fans and the coaches and the team mates not necessarily in that order.
I have a ton more sympathy for a kid that comes from nothing and has nothing (in his mind) to look forward to that gets busted by the cops. You dumb enough to piss away (literally) a chance at the pro's for something like drugs... you don't get my sympathy anymore.

I'm told at this point he is serving his other part of his suspension. Hope that's the truth.

A good poster but wasn't all that close to the program. Guy I get mine from is very reliable and at one time was extremely close.

Stop jumping to conclusions. Everything may be fine or not but I am sure of one thing. Hickey will be hurt a lot more than we will. It's just a game to us. It is his life to him.

my concern is on how many times Johnny draws the line and Hickey crosses it before he gets a permanent boot. Hopefully the guy can get it together because I think he's got a lot of potential here.

Hopefully injury. I mean the kid said he just had to get his act together and that is what he has been focused on. I just dont get it with these kids, you have an opportunity to get a free degree. Not many of us were so lucky.

LSU's athletic dept has a lot of resources to use in helping student athletes fight drug related problems. Hickey has received as much help as any other athlete in trouble. But as the saying goes, you can lead a horse to water............He needs to have a long talk with that guy in his mirror & make a committment to walk the straight & narrow or else move on, as now is the time for the team to be getting ready for SEC play. If he cann't be counted on, as much a loss as he would be, the team has to prepare as a team for the real season.Hard to get a feel from that earlier posters' comments bout Trent Johnson apparently having issues as well with him, but it would seem he's way past strikes 1-2-3-4??
