Its the same people that never wanted to fire Miles or always made the case to keep him, or always talked about his record are the same people wanting to hire Coach O. You were wrong about miles and you are wrong about Coach O.. You're making an emotional decision, not a logical one. No one else has hired Orgeron as their head coach for a reason, he is a DL coach, a great recruiter and a great motivator. He is perfect for the interim head coaching role, he will have tremendous success as such.. I've even made bets that we can and will run the table through the regular season..We are a very talented team that honestly needed the motivation. But emotions and motivation run out.. You want a shrewd tactician that is disciplined for long term success. Someone who focuses on the process of improving and not the results. You must think about the long term health of the program and not something that would be good for a couple years if that.

I've noticed the same. People backing O are the same posi-tigers that pumped Miles. Get Herman or Jimbo and call it a day

I'm not a fan of hiring O, but your story sounds anecdotal. Do you keep track of the positiger Miles fans on TD? Have a list of userids who want to hire O?

It's because those people are incapable of critical thinking and are more prone to hero-worship.

nah, just remembering people i argued against for years are the same people who are clamouring for Orgeron.

I mean, he is a great guy, love him to death but damn he should not be the damn head coach of one of the top programs in America..plain and simple..

you folks who "notice" shite are idiots. Put everyone except yourselves in a "box" with a "label"

I supported Les while he was here. Felt after they publicly fired him and then kept him last year was a disaster and wouldn't work. It didn't and Les had to go. I support that.

i support coach O as a interim coach. He wins all the games he coaches here, we're stuck with him. Only way he should even be considered. If LSU fired Miles only to hire Coach O it will end in disaster down the road as well. Fisher or Herman only.

So your those who did this now are doing this theory is wrong in my case and just plain stupid in real life.

OP is the kind of fan who makes us normals look like Gumps

oh god. frick off with your pretend rational analysis, as if youre sitting there in the woods with a pen like Thoreau

you say all that shite yet you want Herman, who got a good team to play better for a short while yet is now falling apart. how does he fit your definition of long term success? you say others cant see reality yet you ignore whats right in front of you with Herman.

This isn't true in all cases. I was a big Les fan until the end of last season. I want nothing to do with Coach O as the long term guy.

the hell i was.

I defended miles since the day he was hired and rantards started shitting their pants over the style microphone he used against ASU.

I had no problem with firing him this year and was okay with it at the end of last year too if we could have gotten Jimbo.

I sure as hell didn't want to fire him 5 years ago or 12 years ago when people were calling him the next Larry Coker (program step-dad?).

Like it or not he is one of if not the most successful head coach in the history of the school - certainly no worse than second.

If you could guarantee me we could hire a coach that would duplicate what miles did record wise and championship wise for the past 12 years i would hire him right now no questions asked.

I'm not for hiring O right now but i haven't written him off yet either.

he is also knighting for Aranda as hc in another thread.

I love Aranda so far but he has NEVER been a HC and OP thinks that is A OK...talk about moronic. Yes lets give Aranda his first head coaching gig...dude clearly just hates O. I don't want O either but homey is way overboard with it, has a agenda, no trust or belief in anything he says
