and hardly any Ranter who's dismissed as an "idiot," "moron," or being "delusional" actually is.

i love les miles, great coach and a good guy. can recruit the stateand players go to class. one problem with disciplin and the guy was kicked off the team. as long as we're first or second in the west 3 out of 4 years, he's good in my book.

i like gary. best offensive coordinator i've seen at lsu. he's never going to live up to that 07 offense, and i think that will eventually do him in. great qb, can go 5 wide, two tight ends, and any formation inbetween.

spring practice is fun. i hope sam montgomery is as good as acvertised.

and above all else, i hope richard murphy is back and plays well. he deserves that. good guy.

I like the cut of your gib as one famous person once said.

Who said that? I can't place it and it's driving me nuts.

The expression has been around for a long time, I'm pretty sure-- derived from sailors, as a jib is a sail (in case you're not familiar with nautical terms). The only semi-famous use of it I remember was Mr. Burns saying it on the Simpsons.

This means pretty much putting last season in the rear-view mirror and moving on to 2010

didn't we do that after 2008, and I personally don't give a shite about the spring game

This is just too rich for RanterNation: An LSU "win" and a "loss" at the exact same time. This is a guaranteed wet-dream for the "Decliners" here. They can bitch about the loss and blame it all on Miles, Crowden, the OL and whoever the QB is and then bemoan the "winning" squad as underachievers because the "opponent" sucked and was ranked 754th in total offense in all FCS Spring games.
Clever...ha.

As for those of us who choose (and prefer) a different definition of a true die-hard fan of LSU football--and especially the players who work their asses off and deserve our unconditional support
No one ever deserves "unconditional" support for anything. We are humans, there are always 'conditions'.

I believe the game will be a good indicator as to how this year's squad will perform, and that we can evaluate how well Miles and his staff are doing to that point.
This is where you are really delusional. Judging from past Spring games, you won't get much information, if any at all. You will see all the players play, but it won't be at 100%, and you won't get much in the way of a diverse and robust playbook. I'm really convinced by you typing this that you really don't know much about LSU football.

Regardless of how it goes, it will be a good fix just to see some damn LSU football.
On this one small point, I will agree with you.
