What does firing jones in the middle of a lost season accomplish? At least the football team still had something to play for.

Lets everyone know that this level of suck is completely unacceptable.
An exceedingly tiny chance of winning out and making the playoff with 2 losses? Basketball could technically still make the tournament.

Football team still had a chance to win the sec which actually does mean something. And you are dreaming if you think this team has a chance to make the tourney thanks to a coaching change. Jones will be fired at end of year.
