Sucks but in the long term could work in LSU's favor. Would love to see him as the head man at LSU when Mainieri retires if he can prove himself at State.

I doubt there are many current head coaches willing to make a job change a couple of days before the early signing period. Cohen hires a young up and comer willing to accept the current assistant coaches for the upcoming season. Cohen being the AD is still at State to keep his incoming recruiting class intact.

He's been numero 1 since September when Cohen got the news he the AD. IMO the timing of him leaving now and not then knowing this for so long pissed me of most when I was told he was likely heading to Starkville the night of the purple gold ws. Really fcking sad for the young men who came back after being drafted. 3 months to replace the guy on the staff the players most liked is hard even for LSU.
