Alright LSU/Saints fans. Here’s a test of your loyalty. What do you think of his comments? Personally, I believe he’s just already tired of hearing the Rams don’t belong. If it happened to his team, he would not think this way.

BTW. I disagree with him.....but he’s still one of my all time favorite Tigers. Hope he gets a ring.

As a Pats fan, this is what I was worried about...the Rams are now going to hear that they don't belong in the SB (they don't) for the next 2 weeks, and then they're going to show up in Atlanta all pissed off and looking to prove something.

Stupid refs and NFL...would've much rather just had a legit Pats/Saints SB without all the drama and added motives.

Just because he went to LSU doesn't mean I have to be okay with his team being the beneficiary of a shite call against the team I root for.

Especially when his owner is one of the biggest pieces of shite around and schemed with the league office to break their own rules in order to leave the city I live in.

frick everything about the Rams and Stan Kroenke. Right now that includes Whitworth.

He's wrong. It's not an excuse.

The game was stolen....the Rams are an illegitimate champion...
The NFL and this year's superbowl are illegitimate.

Whitworth definitely wouldn’t feel that way if the Rams would have been in that same situation. He’s just tired of hearing people complain about it. What else would you expect him to say?

He's not completely wrong, and I understand that it must be frustrating to be in his position.

To his point about penalties that didn't go the Rams' way, I think that is just fallacy. There are a number of plays that could go either team's way in any given game that you could point to as having an impact. Fans are usually accepting of this.

However, this was a penalty, all else being equal (including missed calls for/against the Saints/Rams), that would have and should have unequivocally ended the game.

So in that sense, he's wrong where it matters.

I don’t expect him to say anything one way or another. I don’t think I conveyed that in my post. It will be interesting following this thread as to how many pissed off people point their anger towards me.....especially if you saw my behavior Sunday afternoon.

I hope they get their arse kicked and if they end up winning they will be remembered as a team that didn't deserve it. Truth hurts. The game was stolen, not all penalties are equal.

My loyalty lies with current LSU/Saints players. I wish Whitworth all the best since he is, afterall, a former Tiger but he doesn't play for LSU or the Saints right now so therefore I rooted against him on Sunday.
I disagree with him on the no-call. It was wrong and likely would have led to a Saints win but we can't change the past.

No he's not. There's a huge difference between a call that could potentially effect a game and one that would have ended it. If that call happens in the second quarter no one gives a shite.
