And all this without Jordan Romero

He has cooled off this series. In fact, I don't think he has a hit or even been on base. Hope he breaks out if it in game 3.

He had a pretty clutch RBI last night.

Did he? I thought he was 0-5.

I get it though. They have a good game plan for him. He is a swinger and they are staying outside off speed with him. He has to prove he can hit it before he gets anything better to hit. His defense is what im more concerned about.

What's so bad about his not hitting is the number for runners he's left on base. And his defense has sucked as well. He needs to step it up or else drop him in the order as he's coming up with too many runners on base, especially with the way our 1-2-3 hitters are getting on base.

Hopefully he isn't starting in game 3.

I agree. Chances are slim they mess with the order on this win streak.

In all honesty he could have cost LSU both games. How many times was he up with runner at third or bases loaded with less than 2 outs? He either struck out at really bad pitches or hit into a double play. Then you take into account the errors behind the plate that directly led to runs. Not a good series for him. I would not be surprised if CPM decided to sit him. He really seemed like he was pressing at the plate to make up for his play behind the plate.

I like how cpm has brought in Pap with the lead last two games. If Pap learns to hit, Romeo can go to DH and we are solid.

Its amazing that it rains downvotes on a stated fact about the rbi he had last night. It was tied at 1 and he got the run in to take the lead.

Papierski is starting game 3

I'm a big fan of both catchers. Not fussing. I wasn't climbing on the pile.

I like both too. Romero looked really sluggish behind the plate maybe he is sick or something.

His atrocious defense gave up more runs than he had rbi's

Very true. He had plenty chances to make up for it and did not.

I would rather Pap for his defense

He needs some time off. His head isn't there right now. Good move not starting him we need him fresh and ready to go for the postseason
