Amazes me that some can still shout about this team being right there and about to turn

We’ve lost two games by a total of 5 runs to a team that has as good of chance as any to win the CWS. It amazes me that people predict us to lose and then get mad when we do.

I think that anyone that makes it to a campus like LSU is talented
We’ve seen the talent each player has, why they aren’t performing to that level is on the coaches
I’ve said it a million times, the issue is mental whether it’s a single mistake that makes you rush throws & make more mistakes or not being able to shake off giving up a run or trying to be a hero & 1st pitch swinging for the fence
There are a lot of problems to be fixed
but the talent is there

They have lost 10 SEC games. They have lost 1 game by 1 run, 4 games by 2 runs, 2 games by 3 runs, 1 game by 6 runs, and 2 games by 10 runs.
So 7 of the 10 games they have lost are by 3 runs or fewer. 5 by 2 runs or fewer.
If that isn't the definition of being close, I am unsure what is.

Football brings out the most radical pessimistic people where as baseball seems to bring out some radical optimist. This team could be 3-15 by end of next weekend and you would still have people saying “They’re so close to getting on track and making a huge run to Omaha”.

My gosh there is some delusional sons a bitches up in here. And I thought I was delusional.
This team literally can’t do anything even average. They are 3-11 in conference, probably about to be 3-12 after Tennessee run rules tomorrow since LSU has been run ruled in every gm 3 SEC series except one. and at this point will take a miracle to even get in the freaking sec tournament, much less a regional. At some point you just got to sit down and just admit that this LSU team is not going anywhere this year.

Jay only picked up 2 position players in the portal. Counting on sophomores and incoming freshman to replace what we lost was a gamble. The pitching staff IDK. We werent great last year minus Skenes early. They came on late. But he did bring in some dudes this year minus Holman they have not performed.

They are 3-11. The object is to score more runs than your opponents, not get almost as many as them.
In 11 out of 14 games, the opponent has scored more runs. There is nothing close about LSU being right there.
