+1
Well said, Roger. Some people are just a step away from going ballistic when someone else simply disagrees.

quote:Miracle worker, or just that he put in a coherent game plan, instead of a zillion separate plays that didn't build off of each other? I think JJ (or Mett, or Lee) would do infinitely better if their passing plays came out of the same formation that successful runs came out of. Especially if you try to establish the run, and Randle's routes are designed to take advantage of the defense trying to stop said running game.
If Randle is getting 100 yards receiving a year then that means Krag is a miracle worker as Jefferson would be throwing for more than the 114 yards he did a game last year.
It just seemed to me that the playcalling last year didn't do JJ any favors. I'm hoping Kragthorpe can come up with a relatively simple "we're gonna do A, and if they try to stop it, we then do B because it will be open" scheme. I would think LSU should have talent enough to try to BEAT TEAMS, instead of fool them all the time. It wouldn't be that hard for any of the QBs to execute that plan, it'd be more a matter of whether we just have better players than the other teams. Most games, I think we do. Don't worry about options C, D and E until the need arises.

quote:Miracle worker since both JJ and Lee have developed bad habits and that is one of the seasons they have played poorly over past 3 seasons. As me and Roaad discussed earlier in the thread I believe that both Jefferson and Lee have a mental block of some sort. Crowton ran a complex system but I am sorry if a player in his 3rd year of it (second starting) and another player in his 4th year of it can not pick it up and understand it then it is a dual issue and not just OC/Crowton.
Miracle worker, or just that he put in a coherent game plan, instead of a zillion separate plays that didn't build off of each other?
I agree that Crowton did not play to either quarterbacks strengths which helped cause the mental break downs that we saw from both over the past 3 years. It is also the cause of the bad habits each developed as they have stayed in the system. They did not have faith in the OC and the OC did not help them grow.
For Krag to come in and in 1 offseason correct that and remove the mental lapses yes I believe that would be a miracle worker. Running a simpler system does not always work either... the system always looks simpler when executed properly something the players have failed to do.

Sorry, not trying to be a jerk but the fact is JJ IS our quarterback and he has earned it.
Determined this thread was full of shite when I hit this post.
