critical opinion. most of us want to see Perkins used like he was last year -wrecking the qb. Kelly says no, everything is fine like it is, just give it time. Are we making a valid criticism?

They were forced to run so much zone because of the mismatch they had at receiver. That’s the best tandem we’ll see all year so wont be in that situation again.

Also by the end of the year teams had figured out how to scheme Perkins out so you can’t just rely on what worked before.

I think he needed to passrush more, but the gameplan was definitely to sou the QB who scrambled and carved us appear last year.

Perkins spied a lot last year so this ain’t insane. just how little he passrushed is wild.

Ultimately, needs a first and second and short yardage position. he isn’t a DE.

What did A&M do last year to neutralize Perkins?

Perkins does need to improve but we essentially allowed FSU to turn him into a glorified practice dummy in the second half. We need to pick one or the other either put him in coverage on 3rd downs or straight blitz. He was in "no man's land" so many times a quick adjustment could've been made.
