Coach O had this team mentally focused. Three penalties and one was a gift to Bama? With all the crap Bama pulled guys stayed composed. CLM's team would have cracked and repeated showed no discipline.

Memories of guys jumping offsides. Of delay of game penalties. Of holding. Of illegal motion. Hallmarks of a Miles team that only today, because we expect what we saw Saturday, did I realize how well the team did by not making these dumb mistakes despite being the same group of players who were making them last year.

I agree. we were very disciplined in an always emotionally and physically draining game. unfortunate the timing of penalties and the "no penalties" as always vs. bama. I don't bitch much about the refs unless it affects the outcome, but the PP int, the Vadal pf, etc. these really affected the outcome of previous games. bama's holding is an art form. im serious. we could take a lesson.

The only one I was upset about was the missed holding on the Hurts TD run. That sealed the game.

Truthfully, we weren't winning this game unless we managed to get it to OT. We got outplayed. Eventually the defense was going to break with as much pressure being applied by the Bama offense and given that our offense did nothing all night.

I hate Bama. I hate the SEC refs. But be realistic folks.

We did get outplayed but the timing of some very crucial penalties gave Bama the extra opportunities necessary to win the game. Without some of these crucial calls Bama could have very well been shut out and LSU could have won the game. The offsetting penalties (bogus call) almost assuredly cost us a FG.

Bama may have been shut out if not for the Devin White late hit penalty and the blatant holds on the TD run. Without every single call going Bama's way it is likely LSU could have pulled off the victory despite limping on offense the entire game.

Great effort. This team is very good but has gotten some awful breaks. Think of how close the three losses are.

Explain to me how we didn't get outplayed on offense? 125 total yards? 6 first downs?

Bama is really really good. Scary good. What did you see on the field that indicated we had a shot at scoring points?

this made the top 10 of worse calls ever so enough with the ref bashing!

“No pass interference call?” Alabama vs. LSU 2004. Beating LSU, 10-6 Alabama attempts a fade TD pass into the endzone. Corey Webster of LSU pushes Bama receiver Keith Brown to the ground, intercepts the ball and runs it back to the 50. The Tigers go on to win 26-10.

I feel like a lot our new success is from less practice time and feeling good for the game. Tired people make mistakes.

The blatant PI no-call on Webster in 2004 is just more evidence that the conference is going to protect the top teams. LSU was in a much better position than Bama that year..

The PI should have been called on us. PP7's interception should have been recognized. Holding should have been called on Hurts.

I don't care who it benefits, I just want the games to be called impartially.

LF7 had a TD from our own red zone when that ref danced with him... had LF blocked and laughed about it.

That 7 would have opened us up and "turned the tide" of motivation. Tiger Stadium would have blown up.

Zero points scored. Chew on that for a little while and let me know just how prepared O had the offense and get back to me.
