All the Louisiana players Saban pulled to Bama... No one has gone in the first round.

Was Cam Robinson not paid enough to stay for another year?

I know what you try to do here. Robinson staying would have not improved anything for him. His feet are slow and they won't get better. Robinson more than likely will have to slide down to the G position in the NFL. A lot like Peat and Greg Robinson.

And Bama has 4 NC's to LSU zero in that time frame!

I'd take for NC's over players drafted in the first round any day.

Les knows how to develop a player and get the most out of them unlike Saban.

So you missed the point.

Cam Robinson and others claimed that going to Bama was a "business decision." Saban was going to develop them into first round draft picks and, as a result, they'd get more money.

Don't think for one second that if Cam Robinson chose to stay home at LSU instead of going to Bama that it would not have had a profound impact on both programs. Ditto Landon Collins. That is why it hurts so much when a top LA player defects to Bama. Not only does Bama get the benefit, there's a big detriment to LSU. Switch those impacts and maybe LSU wins some of the close ones we have had over the years with Bama.

Cam Robinson could have stayed home and helped LSU get a national title. Instead he made a "business decision" to go to Bama. And that business decision proved to be of no benefit to him, only to Saban.

And yet we just heard the same argument from Moses and Allen and I'm sure we'll hear it again from some recruits this cycle.

LSU has to beat Bama on the field again to reverse the trend (and unfortunately, has to do that with some of the best LA players on the bad guys). But once we do so (and we probably need to take 2 out of 3 before we neutralize the recruiting advantage, it should be fairly easy to debunk the whole "business decision" BS.

I hate when they use the national championships as their reason for choosing Bama.

If he had kept our in-state studs we would have won the games.

Is this the thread where we pretend we didn't want Cam Robinson or Tim Williams?

BTW, it's pretty incredible how much quickly the money dissipates.

Jamal Adams is getting about a $14 million signing bonus for going 6th.

Jonathan Allen (who many thought was top 5) is getting a $6.5 million signing bonus.

Reuben Foster (who slid from a top 10 pick to the very bottom of the first round) is expected to get about $4.5 million.

With Cam Robinson and Tim Williams falling out of round 1, their take home is going to be a lot less than they were hoping for when they made their "business decisions."
