I would figure that this has more to do with something non-football related.

Why?

Because Hurst is a player likely to be drafted in the NFL. If he quits because he is ticked at the coaches or some other issue like this...goodbye football career. Nobody will mess with a guy who quits on his team. Its a big NO-NO.

I'm not "in the know" but Hanagriff said tonight that he is still on the team and has personal issues. He stressed that it was personal issues and not football related.

Most on here will still be running around losing their minds though.

I can't imagine Hurst just quitting on the team due to a conflict with the coaches. He doesn't seem like that kind of guy.

Moreover, even though I always thought he had limitations, he is projected to be a high NFL draft pick, right? Again, I find it hard to believe he would walk away his senior year after starting for 3 years.

Perhaps he is stepping away temporarily, like a week or two, due to personal UNRELATED to football? We don't need to know exactly what those may be. If they say its unrelated to football, then its probably unrelated to football.

Bryce Brown is playing in the NFL so you can't really say nobody will give him a shot. That said, I agree with you that Alex probably isn't going to hurt his pro chances by quitting on the team halfway through his SR season.

LSU fans eating their own is really getting old. All we know is hurst has some type of issue and you idiots are relegated to going back to some bullshite about 1/9 and blaming miles.

Who gives a frick about 1/9. It's over. What happens if miles knows he has some type of personal issue and told him to take as much time as he needs. You fricks always try to be as negative as possible. I don't see how something that is supposed to be entertainment becomes so miserable for you. If I found myself acting like you tools, I'd fricking quit watching lsu football. This is getting more pathetic by the day. Grow the frick up

My guess: Dworczyak, Collins, Lonergan, Turner, Alexander

In order from LT to RT

Assuming Williford is out too

If Hurst is out, Dworacyzk will play.

Could be the case entirely.

No sense in drawing conclusions about something we don't know yet.

Exactly. Miles could possibly be a good guy. He knows his oline is already fricked up, playing a great dline, and puts the kid first.

This place is down right disturbing.

I hope Alex gets it together. Quitting the team now would be one of the 4 or 5 things that, when he is 60, he would look back on and regret. I have my own regrets and one is quitting something in my early 20s.

I get that this is "the Rant." I get that the point of this is to vent and to critique. We all do it. And, no, I have no idea what the "personal issues" are. But I do know this: #72 has been a vital cog of this football team for several years. #72 is a big, strong kid, who by all accounts is a quality teammate and person. #72 is a Tiger.

Let me repeat, #72 is a Tiger.

He is obviously going through some issues that are none of your or my business but they must be serious. And if you call yourself a Tiger fan, you should not spend your time wildly speculating about that which you do not know. I will heed my own words and do likewise. There will be plenty of time to react and pontificate if and when there is real news. But #72 needs some time. And even though we have no idea what is wrong, other than that something is wrong, we should respect the kid and the team and let them handle it.
