I agree. Alleva has not handled this very professionally. Les deserves to be treated with respect and Alleva has dropped the ball in that regard

How could Alleva have handled it better? He has said no comment... the speculation, the press conference, was all built up by the fans and media. Do you not think there is a possibility that Alleva has not gone forward with any public statement because he has something going on in the background that requires absolute silence?

How the hell is he supposed to handle this? No way he can keep shite quiet with all the leaks and rumors. If he doesn't know which way things are going how can he committ to anything. I don't care for Joe. Never did. But the expectation that this matter can be handled in a nice tidy little package is irrational.
And FTR, Les should have done more to help himself. A guy who's job is in danger and does NOTHING to help himself doesn't deserve much sympathy. I don't think CLM is going thru anything else any coach would go through in his position.

The unnecessary extension and raise two years ago, complicated matters for LSU, immensely. Shows very poor judgment to go along with Alleva's lack of character.
