A couple of things:

1. Some of the grammar on the A&M boards is about as atrocious as I have sever seen on a message board. It's almost like they are trying to sound stupid.

2. You know for a fact, much like our fans, that some of the people claiming to have gone to the game are making it up and in fact did not go at all, which is why you have to take anything in these kinds of threads with a grain of salt. It's like the portion of our own fans who complain about attendence but in fact have never gone to a single game.

3. Like any gameday experience, it's all about who you sit by. If the guy you sit next to is a drunken jerk, then chances are you will have a bad experience. If they are normal, your experience will be good. EVERY SINGLE STADIUM IN EVERY SPORT IS LIKE THAT.

4. I saw several A&M people underwhelmed by the tailgating. I was not there on Saturday...was the tailgating that much smaller than usual, or was that just butthurt analysis from Aggies?

When it comes to the classiness or lack thereof of Tiger fans, i will always point to this fact...

We have won 2 national championships in the last decade. Each time, Baton Rouge survived the night unscathed. That's more than some other towns can say.

Scariest/most intimidating part of that whole experience was when the PA announcer said "Ladies and gentleman, it is now officially saturday night in Death valley"

Was not fun.

Can only comment on one side but I would estimate it at no more than 75% for a big game. As for the weather, most miserable I've been in TS since '79 vs Bama (and I was there for '08 Troy).

Frankly, I was surprised by the tailgaters out in the weather. And the rain pretty much cleared up during the game, but right before it came a mutha pour.

2 of the 3 Aggies near me bailed before the half. 1 made a comment about how empty the place was.

1 Aggie was still talking about timeout usage in the 3rd qtr. When I informed him that going into the half down by a couple of scores with all your timeouts may just be worse it went right over his head.

And then there's the guy who kept going on about TAMU scoring their ONLY TD in 20 seconds. Told him it looked more like a little over 28 minutes to me. He flashed the money sign for the rest of the game. Guess it's the small victories he was proud of.

Frankly, I'm not impressed with the Aggies at all. They can stay home in their cow fields with their favorite sheep for all I care.
