Aggie Fans are like Ole Miss Fans

Agreed?
I have been to away games at both universities and encountered the same issue - they are pretentious.
When going to other SEC away games, I noticed that their fans are like LSU fans - the ones who don't actually go to school at LSU or have a degree from LSU are the most rude and obnoxious. Students and alumni of the university are generally kind and respectful.
A&M and Ole Miss' fans are rarely non-students or alumni and have a certain conceited air about them. They "talk" about how nice and respectful they are, and I am normally skeptical of anyone who has to talk about how nice they are... shouldn't people already know you're nice if you actually are?
Anyway, just my take on it. Didn't have a great time in College Station or Oxford due to the above and am wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Everyone I ran into was pretty cool. We stayed with four young ladies that attend school there and they showed us a pretty good time.

If you have issues at away games, chances are it because of something stupid you did. I've had great trips to Oxford decked out in purple and gold.
And I was at the Ole Miss/aTm game earlier this year, and their fan bases are nothing alike.

I thought they were very friendly people.
And go to the right board.

No, they really aren't alike at all.

Both will be victimized by the LSU "D" & run threat by the time it's over

I could've told y'all that. When I was a kid, and Arkansas was in the SWC, we went to several of the ball games in College Station. Yes, the fans are very similar to the ones in Oxford.

Explain this, because seeing those two fanbases together, they couldn't have been more different.

Your face is like a butt.

Let me guess, you didn't know anyone in either place.
I'm sorry but it is pretty damn hard to have a bad time in Oxford. Especially recently. The visiting team has been almost guaranteed a win.

They were the two most obnoxiously pretentious, snotty fans we encountered. Even UT wasn't as bad & Arky and Texas have a long history of bad blood. Although Ole Miss wasn't in the SWC, Arkansas has played them many times over the years before we were in the SEC.
I have been to many of the games in locations in both the SWC & the SEC. Oxford & College Station are my 2 least favorites because of the very unwelcoming fans. Most all of my family & friends who have been to these places agree.

I think you and the OP are missing the point. Other than the pretentiousness, there is nothing similar between those two fanbases.
The way they tailgate, the way they cheer, everything else is different.
I will once again say that yall must do something to catch shite. I've yet to have a bad experience on an SEC roadtrip, except for UGA fans after the '03 SEC Championship Game.

Did you read the OP's question?
I answered it directly without going out on some tangent. This is my experience, my opinion. If you have a different one, good for you.

If people aren't nice to you in Oxford you must be a huge douche bag! I used to get pissed bc our fans were too nice to other fans, but that was when I was a student. I think the way our fans treat the opposing fans is the way it should be. If LSU fans are saying they have a good time in Oxford, then it's pretty obvious that you're wrong!

Yea, I read it.

Ok.

Considering just about everyone else thinks the two fan bases are nothing alike, I don't really think anyone went on a tangent.

OK.
It's bullshite like this that makes me avoid the Rant side of TD and here it goes making the OT. Sigh.
