Let me guess...

Everyone is hungry and putting in serious work and we're "coming"?

Why? What in that piece made you optimistic about winning at least 10 games this year?

It is easy to say the right things, but absolutely nothing from his head coaching history suggests he will be able to actually fix the problems.

Instead it will be more excuses. Like:

Obviously, implementing the type of offense we want. Going to take a while to get the execution down.

don't waste your time. The O Haters, oh, excuse me "those who truly know what is best for the program" won't be happy during Orgeron's tenure unless it ends the same way Jim Pittman's career ended at TCU.

I can't say I am more comfortable, but thanks for sharing the link. You are right, it was well written and he asked good questions.

I liked the fact that they are feeding the players more information than they had before and being proactive about improving. Maybe good things will happen, but I have to be cautiously optimistic.

The facts are the facts - ed has assembled a really good staff, including support staff.

It doesn’t take a football genius to realize that more bodies to share the workload is a good thing.

I agree with this in the sense that he is an eternal optimist. It's his greatest strength and can be his biggest weakness as well. IMO, he runs into problems at the microphone. He's always trying to pump everyone up and tries to make people look good, but in that process ends up saying the same things about people he fires as he does his recent hires.

He basically says the same things about all of his players before the year starts and his staff. The problem with doing all of that is it makes him look like a liar, which I don't think that's ever his intent.

I think he's probably a very good football coach, but just not a good, detail oriented head coach. His motivational tactics and gimmicks are better suited as an interim coach. An interim coach takes over a team desperate for something to grasp onto and he gives them that, but it's not something you can build a program on.

The themed weekdays, "one team, one heartbeat", that purple and gold chain and all that stuff must get old after hearing for a couple of years.

I don't see how. He saw action last year and is prepared to play. A senior was in front of him that gave him lots of knowledge, not to mention you have the continuity of Ensminger, who I think will put him in a position to succeed.

I am really excited about Brennan. I love the big arm, quick release and pocket presence. We've been missing a pure passer for a while. I think its game on. And I'm okay with him taking some more lumps (interceptions) in order to learn how to read defenses and get better. We'll be alright at QB. If he goes down the offense will probably have to change though.

What was it about last season where you knew you needed more support staff?

quote:

When I watch the coaches work, I saw coaches still gathering information (about the opponent) on Tuesday and Wednesday — information that should have been covered in the summer, could have been given to them on Sunday night. To me, on Sunday night in the NFL, we have a meeting and everything is done. It is done. I’m talking about breakdowns, fit drills (plans). All the manual work that needs to be done is given to the coordinators, and they go over it. Instead of that, we’re just starting on the next opponent. By the time we get there, it’s Wednesday night. It’s too late. The manpower that we have now to generate the information to give to the coordinators on Sunday is night and day.

This is huge for all of the uninformed sky screamers in here. I’m in the middle but I have faith in the group of guys coach has surrounded himself with. Can’t wait to see the how much better we’re prepared and the correlating increases of play because of it.

Downvote away but I’ll not argue with a bunch of college kids or other people about football that know nothing about it except for what they read or think they see without any experience. I do that enough on Game days tailgating

Aranda is great but wasn't hired by O. Cregg is a great hire on paper. Ensminger is a massive question mark. Stop acting like your brain-washed opinion is some kind of verifiable fact.
