Helped take these photos today for use in a photogrammetry project. Thought I'd share...

FYI- a remote control airplane was used to take the pictures. The future intent is to document hurricane damage using this plane.

Shoot me an email, I think that would make for a cool news story.

I don't actually know too much about the plane. I'm a PhD student in Structural Engineering and plan to use the photos for my dissertation. It'll involve looking at hurricane induced storm surge and wind damage. This was a test run of the plane that someone else at LSU built.

Here's some pictures and the setup though.

2 quick questions:

1. What is the structure at the bottom of photo #1?
2. What is the baseball diamond next to the new Box?

-Sorry, I don;t get home too often....

The LSU House, it's a construction design showcase with hurricane proof elements, green materials, etc.

The other thing is U-High's baseball diamond.

Thats cool, I know a guy who has a 90 sized heli he flies and takes pics with. Looks to be a similar setup. he takes pics for companies doing construction and some farm and ag stuff.

here is my plane.
