Mike VI was closer to death than we knew, but LSU SVM and Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center did a great job getting Mike the treatment that he needed very quickly. A very sincere thank you to both for saving Mike for LSU for now. Very good read for all Tigers.

I'm all for research for future cancer treatments. Some people have expressed concern for the "wasted" money spent on an animal. It isn't wasted at all. The treatment was donated by MBP cancer center. All the equipment is already in place so it's not like they had to come up with a huge chuck of change for procedure. Dr's and assistants were probably glad to donate their time. Thanks guys and girls.

Yes, it does. But we know that Mike VI has the best medical care that he could possibly have. And his case will help many other sick people and animals.

PETA would simply euthanize him if he's suffering, just as millions of animals are euthanized every year. It's not the craziest idea, to euthanize an animal with terminal cancer of it's suffering.

The writer has the facts about Mike wrong. She said he was chosen by Dr. Baker when he was a cub.

.....IF he is suffering, I completely trust that Dr Baker would do what is best for Mike....He is a very serious man, a very good DVM and very serious about taking very good care of Mike properly.....it's not the craziest idea either to try to treat him before taking a premature step.....
