I didn’t see anything under $900 when I checked yesterday. I’ll watch the tigers from Maui before I spend that much flying to Nebraska

Round trip sleeper car with 2 beds and your own bathroom on Amtrak for $1500. NOLA to Omaha. Not a bad way to go if you’ve got the time

I'd check out flights to Kansas City, Des Moines and Lincoln too. Did the whole rental car thing from KC in 2009 and it worked out great. Flights to/from KC were way cheaper and it was only a three hour drive to Omaha.
