I can pitch 20 scoreless innings as well if I just walk people

We must put this in perspective. This is an obscure post on an innocuous thread, so it will never be a "classic."

That being said, I've been here over 10 years. This is the single dumbest thing I've ever read on the rant.

It's so dumb on so many levels...if all you do is walk people then you won't remain scoreless, and by walking people you will never record an out and in turn won't record an inning pitched

It won't be "scoreless" if he just walks people, too

In the retard's defense, he would have an undefined/infinite/0.00 ERA, but now that wouldn't mean scoreless. 20 innings of nothing but walks and no recorded outs...yeesh. The first out you'd record your ERA would fricking explode.

I guess to answer his question, though, Nola has only walked 7 batters in 40 IP. Opponents are only hitting .176 against him. And he has 44 Ks.

Sportscenter (Stan Verrett) mentioned that when Nola throws his curveball, hitters have a .059 batting average (against his curveball) so far this year.

Ah, true. Would have appearances (20 I'd imagine) without any innings pitched.
