A top 15 finish is not guaranteed with a win.

I see several posters that are certain that if we beat TTU we'll finish in the top 15.
We're 20th right now and are favored against TTU. What makes you think we'll jump 5 spots for winning a game we're supposed to? It would have to be a blowout and while I think we'll win, I expect us to play sloppy. If we come out like we did against Miami in 05 or Georgia Tech in 08 I'll be ecstatic, but I just don't see it happening.
*For the record, I don't think a top 15 finish is much to crow about anyway like some people. We're still considered a top 10 program by most, and that's how we need to finish. But that's a whole other discussion.

The most miserable people on this board are the ones who respond like you do. Please tell me how my post is "miserable." I did say we'd win, right?...I even said how happy I'd be to see us play lights out.

what diff does top 15 make? 5 years from now we all forget. They don't hang banner for top 15.

They may not look like what your idea of a top 15 team should, but name 15 more deserving than a 10-3 team from the SEC West.
And the whole premise of this OP is nonsense. You don't move teams up or down like a reward or punishment. You rank them. Against all the other teams. And you use whatever data you have to do it. After the bowls, it is conceivable that a few teams,ranked higher than us currently will lose, and some pollsters make take this new data point and rank their teams differently than they did before.

Ok fine. Do you think there were 25 teams better than LSU when they dropped out of the rankings after Ole Miss? Just because it's a bowl game doesn't mean rankings will be done any differently.

We have the highest paid coaching staff in the country and our coach makes the 8th most.
I do think it unrealistic to hold to that standard every year, but I'd think we should expect to reach that more years than not.
We have not the last 4 years (Harris poll had us 8th in 2013 but no other poll that year had us in the top 10).
Just sayin'.

Someone doesn't care right now either. Yeah, I posted on Christmas morning. It wasn't praising the team and/or coach so you'll automatically label it "bitching." You could just leave it alone and go enjoy your Christmas but instead you decide you want to bitch and people "bitching."

We had 23 top finishes in our entire history before Miles got here.
From 1893-2005 we had 23 top 15 finishes.
While 1 top 15 finish may not be elite and string of them is. We have 4 top 15 finishes in the last 5 years. There are all of 2 sec programs to have done this. There are of 5-6 programs in all of cfb to do this. We have achieved that while playing in the hardest division in cfb.
I always find it funny how many people boast about the difficulty of the sec west and then get upset when we lose games with a team full of true freshman. I would rather lsu finish top 5 or top 10 but by no means is top 15 mediocre. I want a better coach but the president clearly doesn't give shite what us fans want.

Bruh there is 1 program that finishes top 10 every year. FSU recurs as well as anyone and they play in a shite conf and they can't finish top 10 every year. Unless you have Saban you can't expect to finish top 10 every year while playing in the sec.
