Big Deal. Besides, if these "experts" really knew that A&M was going to win, wouldn't they be hopping on those flights to Vegas to wager their bank accounts on the underdog Aggies?? I know I would.

FWIW, Vegas doesn't try to predict games. The line tells you that the public is favoring LSU.

When the line moves it tells you that people are favoring LSU...it started at -1 ( a pickem at one point) then it moved to -3

Usually that's the case, but we went 9-3 this year against the spread. Nine wins against the spread usually puts you in the top 5 "gambling teams" in the nation.

Won't let me link it for some reason ("scripted windows", what the hell is that?), but here's our gambling stats this year if you care to copy and paste...

Who on Earth are those five guys ? I mean, even if they'd picked LSU to win 51-0, who are they ??

Yes but even when they set the line they don't think "LSU will win by 1" it's more like "we will get as much action on either side if we make LSU a 1-pt fave."
I do agree with you that even 0.5 point can sometime be deadly TCU -2.5 is the most recent example.

I don't know who any of these people are. You could have listed 5 amatuer porn stars more recognizable than the above-mentioned crew of guys.

This is the rant, if a few people pick a team to beat LSU then it means everyone is picking that team over LSU. It goes into the "media hates LSU" thing that so many buy into.

OMG HE PICKED AGAINST LSU HE IS AN IDIOT

You could replace "the rant" with "TxAgs.com" and LSU with A&M and the exact thing would be true. The homer mentality can corrupt perception. That's why I never bet the Ags or the Saints. It's like gambling drunk.

A&M has only scored 24 once this year against a top 50 defense.

Texas #13 - 24 points
Nebraska #8 - 9
Arkansas #35 - 17
Missouri #44 - 9

I have a lot of confidence in our defense going into this game. Although ranked higher if you think Nebraska's D is better than LSU's you're smoking crack.

TXAM team total under 24.5

Well im pulling for the tigers 100% but without a QB and facing a pretty good Defense, with good linebackers, that well surly blitz Jefferson all night long, i can understand why some would pick us to lose. We will need our defense and special teams to set up and maybe score some for us.
