A little early, but LSU baseball in Houston for College Classic

I know, I know, it's football season. But after the way it has gone, I am ready for baseball season after we lock down Jimbo or Herman. Looking to buy tickets soon for the Shriners Hospital College Classic, can get 3 day pass on all 9 games for only $42. Just seeing what the turnout will be like and how was it two years ago if any of y'all went?
TIA

I was given tickets last year and live across the street so went to a few games. Attendance wasn't that great. Too early in my opinion and too much other stuff going on. I'm not a huge college baseball guy but thought it would've been more exciting for it to have be more of a tournament format and not just everyone play a couple games and it be over. Sort of anti-climatic in that sense.

This looks cool. Thanks for sending -- I will try to make the drive over to H-town.

Attendance was actually really good for the LSU games. It's a great time and if you are able to go it is worth it.
And you don't HAVE to buy tickets in advance. Seating is all general admission sit where you like. It's a college game so it's not like the entire stadium is full, but for the LSU games most of the lower level along the foul lines was filled up.

I'm probably going but it's general admission no reason for me to buy now.

It is a hell of a time. When lsu plays, attendance is really good. Great time to relax and plenty of things to do around the stadium before and after games. I will be attending again this year.

Went the last time LSU was there. Had an absolute blast. I love visiting Houston and I love LSU baseball so it's a no-brainer for me.

We really have the best times for games IMO
Friday 7:05 (plenty of time for Friday travelers)
Saturday 3:35 (plenty of time to do things in the morning and early afternoon aka get drunk)
Sunday 10:05 (plenty of time to get back home and it not be extremely late)

Got about five rooms booked at the Hilton down the street. Went two years ago. It was a good time. Get there early and sit right behind Tigers dugout. Bring a coat. Minute Maid is not heated and it gets pretty cold in there.

If you do make the trip there has been a ton of stuff done around Discovery Green (walking distance to the park). Hotels, restaurants, bars, etc...all to get ready for the SuperBowl. A lot more stuff than was there 2 years ago.

Went last time LSU was there...Houston is always a fun town...crowds for LSU games were the largest, even with UH playing us...should be a some good baseball being played...as stated, seating is GA, so if you want to sit close to LSU dugout, get there early..
No sitting in the outfield or upper decks...
