Briles...

Why not? The guy is a football genius, willing to win at all cost. Negligence is not a crime
And that's the worst that can be said about the issues in baylor.
Besides most people deserve a second chance, and he has shown to be contrite. So why not?

And you are a sad, delusional man if you think it was merely "negligence".

If he was our third or forth option, then I'd be willing to hire him before a coordinator.

I AGREE!

I think Briles turned a blind eye at Baylor. I also believe he won't do that again and LSU can put heavy penalties in his contract plus a monitoring system to see that it doesn't happen again.

Briles is no spring chicken so he would not be here that long anyway but might prove a great bridge until we can hire another guy.

I also would require him to keep our present defense coaches on staff.

Isn't he like into his 60's? Even forgetting what happened at Baylor, screw that I want a young coach with fire in his gut!

Briles Only Coach Fired

quote:

Baylor publicly released a 13-page finding of fact that had accused football coaches and staff with interfering with investigations into sexual assault complaints against players, and even impeding potential criminal proceedings. But the report did not identify Briles or any coach by name, and Briles remains the only coach to be fired.
