9-3 and a bowl win is all that's needed for Coach Miles to stay at LSU

And I would say that as long as MOST bowl games are wins, he can stay as LSU head coach for as long as he desires.

Coach Miles will be given no "ultimatums" or threats or strong advice or warnings to "change", because there's no strength backing up the "threats" or "warnings" from anyone at LSU.

As long as the AD makes money from football, and the other condition already stated is met, IMHO, Coach Miles is safe and will retire at his convenience.

IMHO, that's where the LSU football program is.

But what if Miles wins 11-12 games and maybe the SEC? Then what?!?!

I'm glad we actually had people back in 1999 that actually had a pair and didn't say " maybe we should keep denardo. I mean, can you remember what it was like with Curly Hallman?!"

that would be good

but did you notice the team appeared to go backwards as the season went on

7 of 21 1 Int for 83 yards

Balls in the dirt, balls overthrown...Kid will be junior soon enough

The team needs help...everyone knows it, but it's been the same story every off season

It's a joke

How many losing seasons did Dinardo have? While you're figuring that out I'll add up how many Miles' has had

The only way Les goes to a SEC champ game again is if he buys a ticket.

You know that people hate Miles more than love LSU when a post about possibly winning the SEC gets downvoted hard

That would be great, Choctaw. I would love for LF7 and Coach Miles enjoy themselves as SEC Champs and playing in the College Football Playoffs. They both deserve it.

I think highly of Coach Miles, and I really like him. If it was my job to dispassionately Rate him as though he were a Coach subordinate of mine in my organization, you know already that I would not rate him very high.

In my professional life, I have thought very highly of people that, when I had to Rate them on their performance at their profession, I rated them as average.

LF7, on the other hand, is an inspiration to me. LF7, in his "profession" is a college football player. IMHO, LF7 is among the very best players that ever played college football -- character-wise and everything else. He possesses all of the attributes of an all-time great.

You realize that it's possible to love Miles the man and be disenfranchised with the coach, right?

The bottom REALLY did fall out from under Coach DiNardo. It could never get that bad under Coach Miles, that is my opinion.

He took over LSU when it had went through 6 straight losing seasons before and made it respectable but not great. His record compared to Curley Hallmans was great. But he slipped the last couple of years compared to how he was doing (sound familiar) LSU at that time was not committed to excellence in football, but even they felt then that maybe he's not going in the right direction. You give Miles his talent and Lou Tepper then the results would probably be the same.

3-8 ain't slipping. That's falling off a cliff into a wood chipper.

but miles is a better recruiter and hires better assistants than dinardo so this makes no sense.

It wasn't the Athletic Director. Joe Dean was a ball less as the present AD.
Like so many of the Miles sunshine pumpers, Dean wanted to give Dinardo one more year.

As long as Nick Saban is at Alabama we have no shot under miles.. it's just a sad fact.
