Jennings didn't exactly light up the scoreboard either when he got into the game(against Auburn's second string)

Looked like he always does. Consistency is a flaw

Do we really need to go to Georgia to find a qb that could post those numbers? I think we could go to Mc Kinley and do it.

uh, no.

Yes.

Jefferson made big plays throughout his career. Consistently? No. But he had about 10 games in his career where he played very well and made some big plays for us with either his arm or his legs.

Jennings has done that once. On one drive.

I think Jennings plays decent to well at times, considering his capabilities. But Jefferson was way more capable, at least at this point in Jennings' career.

Just put Harris in and give him some experience. He's our future,

Agree. We are not playing for a championship & we are in a bowl game. So, let's put in the player with the most potential.

Been watching football since the Tommy Hodson years. I don't think I've seen worse.

This is an observation, not a defense or indictment of anyone. It is flawed logic to compare stats of the '80s or '90s to present-day numbers. The game (CFB and the NFL) has changed dramatically in favor of the offense. A 300 yard passing day in 1980 was a real anomaly (think BYU), in 2014 it can be average for many teams.

All that being said, Jennings has not (to my eye) improved appreciably over this season. To me, that's a real red flag as to his ultimate potential. I'd try Harris again against the Hogs, the only way you can correctly judge him is in actual game situations. Maybe Harris is the wildcat QB only for the next several years.

why do we put the ball in the hands of our weakest player 39 times out of 82 plays? i cant believe we continue to do this when we have a less than QB. We did the same with JJ. It was like AJ had to beat Bama rather than Fournette, Magee, Hilliard. He know he's not that good, but we put all the pressure on his back rather than the line and the RBs.

You must have been in a time warp during 2010 then...

2010 Jefferson: 118/209 (56.5%), 109 ypg, 7TD:10INT

Dislike the guy if you want…..piss and moan about the 21-0 if you want….just don't imply that he was the worst QB ever to play at LSU.

The offensive line had the worst performance of anyone in that loss.

While I am not a Jefferson fan, everyone loves to hate on him because they have some delusion that Jarrett Lee was better than him. In reality Lee was at best just as good as Jordan Jefferson.

I think Harris has shown a lot more promise than Jennings. He at least deserves a legit shot at the starting spot (not his only chance on the road vs a top 10 team). You wouldn't think it could get worse than the the Lee and Jefferson options. Then we have Jennings as the starting QB.

I think a JUCO passer is a good idea. We have so many targets and our defense will be imposing next year. If we get a pass rush of course
