I sign off on most of TDT's and Gray's posts and don't feel like rehashing their arguments. but I will add one thing: the fact that Miles has been able to win without a top 20, hell, top 50 QB is nothing short of remarkable. If you look at what sinks major programs, it is usually inconsistent QB play. Teams cannot continue winning without good to great QB play, and one missed recruit tends to sink a program. Look at Texas or FSU. Missing at the QB position is the football equivalent of a death sentence.

Miles has been able to weather through that storm and continue to win despite missing on QB recruits repeatedly. Now, I'm not thrilled he's missed on consecutive QB recruits, but the fact he's been able to not have it harm the program is nothing short of miraculous. And a testament to his skill as a coach.

Oh, lighten up will you.

You are acting like LSU is the only good football program to struggle vs. teams they are seen as being better than. They aren't!

Get over yourself.

You are talking bout a program that plays one of the toughest schedules in the NCAA according to the NCAA SOS just bout each year and you are complaining cause we play some close games while playing one of the strongest schedules???

Take pride in the fact we lead both the SEC and BCS in WINNING GAMES since 05 and don't sweat the little stuff.

Excellent recruiting, average gameplanning, below average player development on the offensive side of the ball, poor adaptability and gameday adjustments.

Brilliant recruiting can mask many other deficiencies. This year's class is pivotal.

miles is on a very, very short list with legendary coaches. the more you look at the big picture and get your head out of individual plays in individual games or the use of an individual player in a particular season, the more you see that what miles has done at lsu is nothing short of outstanding.

and btw, the "miles has left a couple of bcs championships on the table" is the most ridiculous argument on this subject.

Agree with 312, except more credit is due for Chavis' work on the defensive side.
Sideline (mis)management is a constant and will not change with new coordinators.
As far as this years class, more talent, more masking...
