A double header starts tomorrow at 4:00 and 30 minutes concluding the first game on SECN+.
Last weekend against A&M definitely was not a good showing. Aside for Walljasper on Saturday, pitching was wildly inconsistent. Offensively was a struggle as well. I understand we were trying to be much more patient at the plate but we kept waiting on two strikes to begin even swinging at a lot of at bats. If we would attack a little earlier in the count we would have been way more successful. They left a lot of good looking pitches over the plate.
Florida will definitely be the best opponent we will face so far. The key match up will be LSU's seventh best batting average verse the nations best pitching in Florida. LSU has always been dominant at home under Beth Torina. I have little doubt LSU will be ready to play. Practice has been very good this week, we have been making adjustments at the plate.
Prediction: LSU wins series 2-1
Beth will definitely be a top her game to take down her Alma mater. I think this weekend could be a turning point for this team. They are hungry and have something to prove.
Projected Starting Lineup
1. Bailey Landry RF
2. Emily Griggs CF
3. Bianka Bell 3B
4. Sahvanna Jaquish DP
5. Kellsi Kloss C
6. Constance Quinn 2B
7. Amber Serrett SS
8. Elyse Thornhill LF
9. Sandra Simmons 1B
