I apologize if this was already posted but I am just now getting around to seeing it

Offense:

quote:

In our first extended media viewing with only three scholarship quarterbacks in the room, Jayden Daniels got the majority of the first-team reps. Nussmeier got some towards the end of practice.

Jack Bech and Chris Hilton returned to position drills, Bech had his shin taped up and wore kinesiology tape. Neither, however, took part in the 11v11 sessions.

Saw a lot of 12 personnel in both the red zone and when backed up to the end zone. It was a Mason Taylor and Jack Mashburn duo.

Defense

quote:

In first 11v11 drill, first team defense saw Greg Penn III, Mike Jones at linebacker. Mekhi Garner, Colby Richardson and Sevyn Banks at CB, Major Burns and Jay Ward with Greg Brooks at nickel.

Bernard-Converse was first out with Garner in CB rotation during first team drills.

Jacobian Guillory, Saivion Jones we’re getting some first team reps on the run heavy portion of practice.

Where the defense really struggled was up the middle on Wednesday. Some big run plays opened up and the receivers feasted in the middle of the field on various routes in both 7v7 and 11v11.

At this point it seems like its time to worry about the center position.

I read through that list and didnt see Boutte's name mentioned. Moscona raved about him yesterday. Its like they went to two different practices

You should be excited. Everybody in the Youngsville area knows about Malik.

Malik is a future 1st rounder.

6. Running backs are rotating heavily, Armoni Goodwin and Noah Cain took all of the first team reps and both had highlight plays.

Well this is interesting. Hope Emery still gets a bunch of touches though. Per that quote, they’ll all rotate a lot. I’d guess until one separates himself from the rest

ETA: A little worried that Dellinger is the best option at center and is having snap issues. Hope that gets resolved

If it's any consolation, in CBK's presser after practice he was asked if he's concerned about Dellinger at center and he straight up said "nope, we're just asking him to do more than just snap the ball and guard, but he'll be ready". That's good enough for me.

One of the most disappointing players in LSU history.

Who's backup to Dellinger?

God forbid we need it.

He came up twice, once for winning a rep in 1v1s, and mentioned once in a note about a DB have a nice PBU.

Not sure if I should be excited or worried.

He was awesome in camp last year, and even when he was hurt to start the season and not playing, Ed O kept talking about how he was one of their best WRs and just a natural. I think he is going to be a legit stud.
