Most amazing stat about that season to me is that we gave up more than 7 points in only 1 game!

That was against Duke, lead by qb Bob Brodhead.

I was a senior in high school that year, already chomping at the bit to get to LSU. Saw the Tigers beat Ole Miss (14-0) and Tulane (62-0).

My great uncle was an All American Lineman at Tulane who was nicknamed "Baby Grand" because he was "so large" he weighed 200 lbs.

Can't believe only 34,000 were in attendance at Alabama, but as many as 80,000 watched versus Clemson.

That was at a small stadium in Mobile. During the game part of the bleachers collapsed.
