Probably not considering they only charge like $5 now.

Maybe $10-12 more for season tix...but even that is 50% increase over the $20 price now.

He is like Roger Goodell. This is in spite of him, not because of him.

Deal with it.

Reactionary down votes without think thinking begins.....NOW

Can you explain how Alleva has been influential in this revenue generation? Most of the reporting I've read on the issue points to the SEC network and the television deal as the primary driving force.

In your opinion, what has Alleva done well to result in the financial situation we find ourselves in?

So the program makes money. He is still the worst AD we have ever had in my lifetime.

I could be the AD and LSU would still have made 55 million. Wake up!

Alleva has given us three failed basketball hires and a very troubling football search and hire.

If you think Alleva is not on the hot seat, you are nuts.

Joe Dean turned profits when football had 3 winning seasons in 11 years, the stadium capacity was only 80,000, and there was no SEC Network.

Has anyone mentioned that Curly Larry and Moe could turn a profit at LSU? Cause I'm certain that Curley Larry and Moe could turn a profit at LSU.

Op is 100% correct. Alleva is not going anywhere any time soon. Need to make a better BBall hire though.

Does this news, lessen the odds that Alleva will morph our big upcoming home/home series into neutral site money grabs ?

OP is right in the sense for the time being. Even with B Ball he should be here until contract expires in 2020. Now past that point he could try to make a parachute landing somewhere else (yes believe it or not other programs would be interested) or retire early or stay. Guys who have the real power like him. LSU has proven that ouside the top 100 TAF boosters they could not give a rat's a... what others feel. In fact they seem to want to do the opposite in spite as they flick the middle finger to the worse naysayers or even the average fan who doesn't agree.

There is the right way, the wrong way, the smart way, the dumb way and then the LSU way. LSU will do the LSU way. Was the same even with Emmert was in BR. It is what it is. Can't deal with it, jump on another band wagon or roll with the punches.

come on everyone knows joe dean had to cut athletics down to the bone to do this. in fact he was directed too. financially LSU athletics is in a much healthier position than it was then.

Microsoft makes money, but when a division suffers constantly, they cut that executive with quickness.

55 million isn't shite of they feel it should have been 70.

You may be right.......for now. But your simply trolling if your giving Joe credit for that 55 million dollar profit.

Of course it is. There are numerous revenue streams available today that were not available when Joe Dean or Skip were leading the charge. The profitability in this environment is not because of some great leadership by Alleva. In fact we could be making more money with a competent administrator.

Could have done more than 55 this year if he would've told F King to STFU and fired Miles at the end of the year last year.

Know how I know you work the third shift at the Dairy Queen? Do you regularly tell your boss to "shut the frick up"?

There is not one shred of credible evidence that King Alexander had anything to do with firing/not firing Miles in 2015 or 2016. There is plenty of evidence that Piyush Jindal stepped in to save his fellow right-wing-Christian-fundamentalist buddy Les Miles in November 2015.

But that's irrelevant. What IS relevant pertaining to your post is that the Athletic Director serves at the pleasure of the University President. Anyone who thinks an underling on the corporate ladder regularly tells his boss to "stfu" is a dumbass who has never held a meaningful job.

If we can fire the head coach who put the product on the field which generated all that profitability, I don't see why we can't fire the AD.

If Joe can get a basketball coach that most fans are happy with, and O is successful, he can stay as long as he wants.
